Personalised handmade ceramic photo frames
Handmade from stoneware clay and glazed in your choice of colour, with a message of your choice engraved on the back in any text colour you like.
Choosing your options
- Glaze Colour: choose from the glazes shown in the product images and type your choice in the box.
- Photo Size: select the size that matches your printed photos. Each frame is made to fit that exact size, so please order your prints to match ie - order 10x10cm printed photos for the 'large circle - 10x10cm' photo frame option.
- Engraved Message and Text Colour: type the message for the back of the frame and the colour you'd like it in.
Where to print your photos
Order your prints in the size shown in the dropdown. Print suggestions: Snappy Snaps, Asda Photos, Max Speilmann and PostSnap but there are many more. Just research the size you have chosen for your photo frame and there are plenty of online options. For Polaroid-style frames, this is the exact dimensions for 'Polaroid' but you could also look for "retro prints" and many companies print similar sizes - just make sure it's a similar size to the dimensions i've included in the drop down options. 'Photobooth strip' frames fit standard 2 x 6in strips only, so please measure yours before ordering.
Ordering a gift?
I'm based in Northern Ireland and you're welcome to have your prints delivered to me! I'll fit one into the frame before posting it and will include the other photos you have printed also. Please email me after ordering and I'll send my address. If you choose gift-wrap at checkout and type your message, and I'll handwrite it on a Sophie Mcilwaine Ceramics card so they know who it's from.
Hanging and changing your photo
A wire hanging loop on the back lets you hang the frame from a nail or hook. I'll choose the orientation (portrait or landscape) that suits each frame best. However, if you have a preference for either portrait or landscape, email me after ordering :) Magnetic strips on the back hold your photo in place, so it's easy to swap and snap in place.
Handmade, so one of a kind
Every piece is handmade, so small variations in shape, size, glaze and finish are part of its character. Glaze colours may also look slightly different from the photos because of lighting, screens and natural chemical variations during firing.
Lead time
Please allow 5–6 weeks. Ceramics are delicate and rarely, a piece might need remaking, which could cause a delay. I'll keep you updated if that happens!
